The Milkshake of All Milkshakes

Tuesday, August 4, 2015

This milkshake isn't for the faint hearted. Creamy vanilla ice cream blended with rich and chocolaty nutella, dark and delicious fudge, crunchy oreos, and last but not least layered upon layers with Reeses peanut butter cups. It's the dark side, darling and this drenched in chocolate drink has got your name on it. Drink it if you dare~

What You Need
Blender
Glass Cup/Jar

Ingredients
vanilla ice cream
nutella
oreos
fudge OR chocolate syrup
mini reeces peanut butter cups (mini size is only needed if you plan to decorate!)

Optional:
whipped cream
milk (if you don't like a thick milkshake you can add some milk to make it the consistency you enjoy!)

Note: I did not mention ingredient amounts because there really is no right or wrong amounts! It really all depends on preference and the number of servings you plan to make~

Directions

1. Before you begin making your milkshake lets prepare our ingredients. Crush your oreos and recees peanut butter cups. Set them in a separate bowl for later.

2. Now comes the messy and fun part---with a knife take some nutella and begin coating the outer rim of your jar or cut. Once the rim is completely coated with nutella begin placing your crushed oreos and reeces peanut butter cups around the rim. This is definitely an optional step, but if you plan to serve this to guests this will sure to knock their socks off and earn you the title of hostess queen~
TIP: Place your cup/jar in the fridge so it can keep cool while you make the milkshake. This also locks everything in place!)

3. In your blender place your icecream, nutella, fudge/chocolate syrup, oreos, and reeces peanut butter cups---close the lid and begin blending! Now if you're not a big fan of thick milkshakes add your milk while blending to get your preferred consistency. Add a little bit at a time---you don't want to water down your milkshake too much!

4. After you are happy with the thickness of your milkshake pour it into your jar/cup.

5. Optional: Top with a generous amount of fluffy whipped cream and reeces peanut butter cups!

6. Cheers&Enjoy~

I wish I had the original recipe to link you back to, but I give all the credit to food network for this chocolate baby wouldn't be born if it weren't for their secret snapchat recipes. This is so easy to throw together in the kitchen and you'll swear the chocolate heavens opened and this milkshake floated down from the silkiest of chocolate rivers. When I say easy---I mean super EASY! Don't let my long winded directions scare you off I just wanted to make sure I covered all the chocolate bases~

Are you ready to join the dark side?
We have chocolate. LOTS OF IT.

♡One Minute Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake♡

Sunday, July 19, 2015

Feast your eyes on this glorious miracle~ Just take one moment and imagine the most decadent chocolate desert you can muster. Chocolate so good that you swear it's made from sweet chocolate bon bon babies sleeping on cotton candy clouds. Chocolate so silky---so velvety it must have been blessed by the hands of Mr. Willy Wonka himself. Summon your finest chocolate draped fantasies ladies because I'm about to make them all come true.

How could I possibly ever do that you ask? With a classic ol' microwave mug cake recipe of course---well a teacup in my case, but the trivial details don't matter here---it's all about the cake am I right?! Now before you groan and say "Been there, done that" I'm just gonna have to stop you right there, hunny! This isn't any mug cake recipie---it is the EASIEST  mug cake in the history of history. If you thought it was easy before I'm about to make it into a piece of cake. Only THREE ingredients and ONE measly minute stands between you and chocolate heaven~

What You Need
-Mug/Teacup

Ingredients
-1/4 cup Nutella (or more no one's judging here *wink*)
-1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
-1 egg

Optional
-powdered sugar

Directions
1. Put your nutella, cocoa powder, and egg in your mug

2. Mix your ingredients until you no longer see the egg and your chocolate becomes a silky consistency

3. Place in microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds. Your cake should rise and still be moist

4. Gobble that baby up~

Optional: Dust powdered sugar on top if your crazy sweet tooth desires so~

View original recipe here~

Let me just say this stuff tastes so darn GOOD! This is my third one this week---I know I'm bad, but honestly no guilt resides here. Because, there's no flour the nutella serves as the base which leads this dessert to be very rich. I mean super rich---it's a chocolate explosion in your mouth kind of rich! If you have all three ingredients in your cupboards and a handy dandy mug (or a teacup) lying around you better make this bad boy. Now you have no excuse!

Who said you can't make your cake and eat it too?!

You chocolate fiends better thank me~

3 Ingredient Sundae | The Healthy Edition

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Hello, you lovely, lovely lot~ I am so very sorry for my mini disappearance. . .I swear I don't plan these! I've been quite under the weather these past three days. Nothing, but cuddling more like rolling under the covers and pain meds (Darn you mother nature! Darn you!) for this little missy. But, if we're being honest here there's no better medicine than ice cream!
So what better way to pick up my rhythm and blues than some homemade ice cream! Now I'm pretty sure you've all heard of it---the ol' banana 'ice cream' trick. But, oh how I swear by it---it really tastes like the real stuff! If you haven't boarded the banana boat the time is now~ FROZEN BANANAS = ICE CREAM! Glorious, glorious ice cream. And, how happy your tummy will be when I tell you this little recipe only takes three ingredients~ Yes, my little ice cream loves your ears haven't deceived you. Three ingredients. Did I mention there's peanut butter?

Ingredients
-3 bananas
-2 Tablespoons of peanut butter
-Toppings (some friendly suggestions: pistachios, drizzle of chocolate syrup, sprinkles, the possibilities are just ENDLESS!)

Directions

1. Slice your bananas and place them on a plate or tray in the freezer over night or for at least thirty minutes if you just can't possibly wait (I don't blame you!)

2. In a blender place your bananas and peanut butter and blend them together. Stop your blender every couple of minutes so you don't burn out your poor blender. Bananas are thick, man!

3. Add your toppings and enjoy your guilt free sundae~

Can you believe that's it?! Me neither. By the way don't let my photo deceive you! I'm pretty disappointed in it myself, but there's so many snaps you can take before your ice cream becomes a sad puddle. This was captured mid melt and I honestly couldn't wait any longer to get my hands on to this sweet treat. Forgive me! But, I promise you this recipe is fool proof to get you some creamy guilt free ice cream in no time!

Do you have any guilt free recipes that you know? Because, I'm itching to get back into the kitchen to try them! This sweet tooth knows no mercy~

Halloween Treats

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Its getting near one of my favorite times of the year again and I'm pretty sure you all can guess what I'm talking about. Halloween! Mwahaha~

Sorry I'm not sorry the evil laughter was kind of necessary.

Whenever the seasons or holidays are changing I can't help but want to go all out and find even the smallest things to get in the spirit and these easy to make Frankenstein pudding cups were just the thing I needed to find my inner ghoul. These little Frankenstein babies even passed the taste test. The pudding mustache and innocent smile is evidence!

My parents were kind of against me turning into a vampire this year, but what can a girl do -shrugs- I suppose being immortal and part of the undead rubs people the wrong way, but eating Frankenstein brains is going to have to do~

Ingredients:

-Instant Pudding (Vanilla)
-Oreos
-Milk
-Green Food Coloring
-Small Plastic Cups
-A Black Marker (for decorating!)

Directions

Prep: Before starting draw your Frankenstein faces on your plastic cups. Be creative!

1. In a mixing bowl put your instant pudding mix and milk as directed on the box. (Note: The instant pudding I bought said 3 cups of milk, but I opted to put 2 1/2 as I found 3 cups too much and didn't make my pudding as 'thick' as I wanted)

2. Whisk until you have your creamy vanilla pudding

3. Add your green food coloring until you get the color you desire. Add a few drops at a time though because a little goes a long way

4. Put your Oreos in a ziplock bag and start crushing them leaving a few pieces bigger than others

5. Scoop your pudding into the plastic cups and sprinkles your oreos on top

6. Eat the brains!  Enjoy~
