The Home Diaries | A Mini Project

Thursday, February 5, 2015

This over here is my childhood room. Ever since I was ten years old these were the walls that kept me together. The bed I slept in at night and chased my bigger than life dreams. The place where tears and laughter seeped into the cracks and crevices of the wood floor. The only place I truly know. But, believe it or not after ten years of living here I never once decorated the place. I'll be leaving this lovely home that is so dear to my heart in a mere SIX months and I didn't want to leave my childhood home as a blank canvas. I wanted to leave my family with my own personal fingerprint and bring the memories of my home alive.

Problem is my pesky perfectionist ways and quirks have a way of making things a  lot more  tad bit difficult. But, that's about to change! These are some of the home decor items and little pieces I've been collecting over the past few months. They're just cute little bits and bobs that I couldn't resist because they were just too darn CUTE to walk away from! I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a bit trapped between two spectrums. Pastel cuteness v.s. a somewhat air of sophistication. Did you notice the word somewhat. . .

What can I say?! I will always be a child at heart~ I'll just say it right up. I currently have a vision of frivolous frilly girly cuteness. Basically girl vomit. Girl vomit everywhere~ Not the real vomit mind you as that would be quite revolting and not the most pleasant of sites. Joking aside I wish I could put my vision into words, because I swear it looks pretty amazing in my head. Pinky swears~

But, if my assumptions are correct you aren't mind readers (and if you are what number am I thinking of  1-10?!) so my pictures will have to do all the talking. So the plan is if I shared this with all of you lovely people it would inspire me even more to bring this vision of mine to life~
*begins to summon inspiration*
I promise to keep you updated! Pinky swears~
Two pinky swears in one day?! Wow this must mean I mean business!

Oh, yes before I go I wanted to thank all of you for your lovely, LOVELY comments on my last post! You guys are the cutest cupcakes ever and I could just eat you up~ Not really. . .because that would be quite horrifying.

  8. Ahh, leaving behind childhood homes/rooms is hard. But I gotta say, coming home to that room after you've been away for a long time is the best damn feeling lol.
