Hazel | FOTD

Eye shadow hasn't been part of my makeup routine for quite some time now. But, today was a different story. I decided to dilly dally back into the land of eye shadow---the sparkle and the matte. Oh, how I forgot how much certain eye shadows can really make your eyes pop. Maybe us hazel eyes don't exactly have the hardest of jobs of hunting down that perfect shade. A simple neutral eye is really what it all takes to complement us hazels. Do you know what colors bring out the best in your eyes?

Hazel- Using shimmery golds, earthy browns, and even purple eye shadows can really make those hazel orbs dazzle. Bring out those green and golden flecks and show the world those unique beauties~

Blue- Want those big blue beautiful eyes to stand out even more? Don't be afraid to use a dramatic metallic silver to give your eyes an extra sparkle. Want to keep it a little more natural? Use rose gold tones like champagne to really let those blue babies shine~

Brown- Brown is not underrated! Brown is BEAUTIFUL! Matter of fact people with brown eyes can create the most versatile looks without worrying about colors clashing. Paint those innocent doe like eyes with warm bronzy shades to really add some glamour~

Green- Looking for something to really have those emerald gems pop? Purple is your color hands down! Try out lavender, plums, and wine shades. In no time people will be lusting over those emeralds of yours~

What are some of your favorite eye shadows you like experimenting with?

Dear Valentine

Saturday, February 14, 2015

Dear Valentine,

I wanted to let you know you do not need anyone. You do not need anyone to tell you that you have beautiful bones and a bare naked soul. You do not need anyone to whisper lover's secrets and wary love songs. You do not need anyone to steal your breath away because this isn't your last chance to breathe in these breathless moments. You do not need anyone to hold the pieces together or fill in the holes that are not complete. You do not need anyone to speak the words you are adored or loved.

Because you have always been beautiful like a valley of wild daises enough to drive anyone crazy. Because your own heart beats to its own love song that is ready to be shared with the whole world. Because when you walk into a room you have already stolen the breaths of many and you're the air in their lungs planting seeds of kindness everywhere you go. You are whole. You are complete. You are adored. You are loved. You are not alone.

Not a sole person can make you believe this until you believe it yourself. All you have to do is take a look in the mirror, darling~

Love,
Sylvia xxx

Candy | Prada

This perfume. All I can say is. . .OH. MY. GOD. I received this luxurious gift set for Christmas from my dear sweet daddy~ Now, why it took me this long to mention is a whole other story. Let's just say my beloved camera and I did not get along when it came to snapping a few simple photos. *sigh* These photos will have to do for now though. I hope you guys don't mind too much! Enough rambling and on to this amazing perfume~

Candy is Prada's newest fragrance release to their ever growing line. There are three new fragrances in the line which don't exactly have the most distinct names. Candy Florale is the one I currently own and let me tell you out of the three it is the best~ It has a soft elegant feminine scent with sweet floral notes. I know many girls try to veer away from floral scents, because it reminds them of their little ol' grandmother, but I promise you your cute granny will be the last thing on your mind when this heavenly scent fills your nostrils (was that too much?). It's fresh. It's young. It's sophisticated

If I close my eyes the scent transports me to a romantic stroll in the beautiful streets of Italy adorned with gelato stands and cute hidden cafes~ Yes, I am very aware I have quite an imagination, but no one ever said that was a bad thing! This is perfect to spritz on the oncoming Valentine Day as it is quite a flirty scent. Me on the other hand am alright with spending the evening munching chocolate and smelling divine while I'm at it. No resentment here. My cat and this pretty bottle of perfume is all I need~

The gift set comes with an assortment of cute bits and bobs along with the perfume. The first one obviously being the gorgeous pink gift box. I'm all about this packaging it feels extravagant and it's perfect for reusing to store some make up or jewelry afterwards. The set additionally includes a shampoo and candle which replicates the same scent and theme of the box which are super nice to use on spa days. My favorite is the complementary bag that Prada so generously included for the holiday season. I know you can't tell from my rubbish bottom photo, but it is so cute and perfect for storing staple bath items or even using for traveling (hopefully the latter. . .eeep!). The people at the counter were so nice to include perfume samples! When I was out with my dad Christmas shopping I was so fickle at what perfume I wanted. I must have turned down at the least 30 perfumes before my heart finally settled on this one. Bless their patient hearts~

Hey, it's not everyday a girl is gifted with a Prada perfume set~
Thank you again, daddy!

Have you guys ever tried Prada's new Candy line? What do you guys think?

Peter Pan

Monday, February 9, 2015

Hello, my darling dumplings~ Please take a moment to stare at this perfection. Can a shoe get any cuter? This was nothing, but love at first sight. The adorable scallop detail. The dainty laces. The intricate delicate brogue design. These shoes add an innocent elegance to any outfit with their ornate style. I could wear these darling little shoes all day and not have a care in the world.

I swear I have stumbled upon Peter Pan's shoes. I might or might not have just swiped them off his feet. All I need is a beautiful window sill and some fairy dust~ A girl can dream, right?

On a side note I've completely lost my voice. If I dare open my mouth to speak I sound like a little old man with a mouse in his throat. A flight to NeverLand is just the thing that would patch this girl right up. Where's Peter Pan when you need him?

"To live will be an awfully big adventure"

The Home Diaries | A Mini Project

Thursday, February 5, 2015

This over here is my childhood room. Ever since I was ten years old these were the walls that kept me together. The bed I slept in at night and chased my bigger than life dreams. The place where tears and laughter seeped into the cracks and crevices of the wood floor. The only place I truly know. But, believe it or not after ten years of living here I never once decorated the place. I'll be leaving this lovely home that is so dear to my heart in a mere SIX months and I didn't want to leave my childhood home as a blank canvas. I wanted to leave my family with my own personal fingerprint and bring the memories of my home alive.

Problem is my pesky perfectionist ways and quirks have a way of making things a  lot more  tad bit difficult. But, that's about to change! These are some of the home decor items and little pieces I've been collecting over the past few months. They're just cute little bits and bobs that I couldn't resist because they were just too darn CUTE to walk away from! I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a bit trapped between two spectrums. Pastel cuteness v.s. a somewhat air of sophistication. Did you notice the word somewhat. . .

What can I say?! I will always be a child at heart~ I'll just say it right up. I currently have a vision of frivolous frilly girly cuteness. Basically girl vomit. Girl vomit everywhere~ Not the real vomit mind you as that would be quite revolting and not the most pleasant of sites. Joking aside I wish I could put my vision into words, because I swear it looks pretty amazing in my head. Pinky swears~

But, if my assumptions are correct you aren't mind readers (and if you are what number am I thinking of  1-10?!) so my pictures will have to do all the talking. So the plan is if I shared this with all of you lovely people it would inspire me even more to bring this vision of mine to life~
*begins to summon inspiration*
I promise to keep you updated! Pinky swears~
Two pinky swears in one day?! Wow this must mean I mean business!

Oh, yes before I go I wanted to thank all of you for your lovely, LOVELY comments on my last post! You guys are the cutest cupcakes ever and I could just eat you up~ Not really. . .because that would be quite horrifying.

I Am A Blogger

Sunday, February 1, 2015

Let's have a chat. I've had this blog for about over a year now, but this is the first time I've ever considered myself a blogger. Before, I let a lot of things get in the way between me and this little internet space. A lot of personal things. Things that I'm not ready to talk about just yet. . .but that's not what I'm here to chat about. This blog literally means the WORLD to me. I might not have the the most followers or stats or whatever competition is going on in the blogging world these days. But, that's not what I'm here for. I'm not here to participate in a chase for intangible numbers. I'm here for YOU.

It literally amazes me when I get a mere page view. Someone. . .somewhere on this massive beautiful planet for a mere second glanced at something I created. Maybe even read it. Maybe even liked it. Maybe even disliked it. Who cares?! For the briefest moment I held a chance to inspire or just simply talk to . . .YOU!

I don't think many bloggers talk about their audience, but the other day I was reading all your lovely comments about the nonsense I post on here and it puts a smile on my face that we can talk about the little things. But, one day I want to share more with you. Not simply the things I like or what I've bought, but what's dear to my heart. Maybe that isn't today or tomorrow, but I always want to remember this very something. I always want to remember that I am grateful to whoever is reading this. Whether it be one or fifty.

This is why I want to take this little ol' blog a whole lot more seriously. I want to post more (which if you haven't noticed I'm beginning to get a hang of. . .eeep!) simply about. . .EVERYTHING! Whether it be about beauty, fashion, or a chat just like this! I want to talk about everything with you guys. But, more importantly I want to get know more about all of you. Because YOU matter!

Sending lots of love your way,
Sylvia
