Is it hot in here? Because damn this top is smokin'~ Too weird? Well excuse me I didn't realize there were rules against flirting with your own clothing *insert sassy hair flip here* But seriously how sexy is this top?!

Heh heh okay all joking aside I've been wanting to address an important topic that was actually inspired by this outfit. Many ladies are under the impression that you have to show a lot of skin to feel "sexy". What does sexy mean anyways? Sexy is not a label that a man deems you one night or something that you earn through tight clothing.

Sexy isn't about how much skin you display or about large bosoms. It is about confidence, charm, and a dash of mystery. It's about a tender heart and sheer strength. Sexy is you. Be you. Yes, YOU! If you are completely rooted in yourself as a person and you know what you want in this ever changing life and you chase after it with deafening determination you can never go wrong. There is nothing more sexier than a woman who makes her dreams come true~

Maybe this is why I am completely in love with this outfit. It has the essence of mysteriousness & elegance. The cute little peplum. The intricate bead detailing. The top trimmed and dressed in black elaborate mesh hugging in all the right places. The contrast of black and white. The pop of mint and some bad ass bangin' shoes to top it all off. It is absolute perfection.

I feel like a princess~

So I might have a tad bit obsession with jewelry, accessories, bracelets, or anything else that falls into a similar category. But is that really a bad thing? Who doesn't love a little arm candy?

Gotta flash that bling bling~ Oh my. . .

Anywho I shared a few of my favorites that I currently have in my collection which is always ever growing. *sobs* My poor wallet! Sometimes I love a statement piece, something unusual. As well as there are days that I prefer something much more simpler and dainty. What I do know though is you will be seeing a lot of these pieces again in my future outfit posts. I'm so excited to share all my thoughts with all of you and I always hope that I can inspire a little someone out there along the way~ It always makes me happy to read all your comments and hear your thoughts.

Now how cute is this pug on my jumper by the way?! I'm in love!

Darn Marzia for feeding my addiction adoration for pugs and other cute things alike! If you don't know who Marzia is check out her Youtube channel! She is absolutely amazing and a constant inspiration to me~ I'll leave the link below with all the other places that I purchased these lovely pieces from.

Rose Lips: reveiw L'Oreal 's les nudes collection lipstick

Sunday, July 20, 2014

I've been on the hunt for a pretty pink nude lipstick that would compliment my skin tone for quite a while now. So when I saw L'Oreal released a new line of lipsticks I didn't hesitate throwing it in to my shopping basket.

I won't lie the first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. Looking more like a high end lipstick than any other drugstore brand that I've seen laying around with its sleek black casing and gold accents. The collection is made up of six nude shades modeled by celebrities with different skin tones so you are able to find your 'ideal' nude.

I opted to go for Doutzen's nude because I have a rather fair skin tone. The color is a soft dusty rose shade which applies on smoothly with a creamy texture. The color pay off on the other hand. . .was not something I was completely thrilled about. When applied on to my lips it was nearly transparent and seemed to appear more "frosty" instead of the warm rosy color you can see in the packaging. I know it is supposed to be a nude lipstick, a subtle shade to bring warmth and a natural glow to your skin. Instead I felt washed out and disappointed with my seven dollar purchase.

I wish I could say I love this lipstick, but I don't. It did not woo me like I thought it would. So maybe I will remain nude-less for now. Did that sound odd? I assure you I'm still wearing clothes while I write this.

What's your favorite nude lipstick?

Summer&Sailor Stripes

Friday, July 18, 2014

With summer dawning upon us it is too easy to stay indoors with the blessed and much needed air conditioning. But I've got a solution to battle the heat.
Crop tops!

To be perfectly honest with you I've never wore anything so "revealing" before. But I thought this look was completely appropriate for the summer (especially with the 100+ degree weather. . .). I've seen crop tops flooding the shops this season and I just could not resist all the adorable designs. When I saw this particular top in the store it just made me giddy with the thought of summer. It made me think of pristine ocean waters and sandy beaches *sighs dreamily*. Crop tops with high waisted shorts are perfection~

What do you think of the crop top trend?

Kiss&Tell: impress nails reveiw

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

I know- I know what you're thinking. The band wagon, the train itself, and all the kings men&horses have taken off for this one. These nails were all the rage last summer, but I've never been the type to keep up with nail art. An admirer from afar, yes (I even have a pintrest board to prove it!).  . .but I am not capable of such things. Give me a bottle of nail polish and you will have nail polish where it should not be. So the nails that I currently have on my hands have just been absolute heaven~

If you have no idea what impress nails are I'll fill you in. They are basically artificial nails that come in a bottle that hold about 24 nails in a variety of sizes to best fit your natural nails. Now, wait before you walk away and groan that fake nails are just not worth the hassle I think you'll change your mind once you hear this. There's no glue! Yes, you heard me right. No glue! Not even the bittiest drop. Each nail simply has a sticky adhesive to fit snugly on each of your nail beds. You can have a perfect manicure in a few mere minutes in the comforts of your own home. Quite "impressive", huh? (Did you catch what I did, right there? Heh heh~)

They truly are easy to apply as long as you're not a bumbling ninny like I was and threw out the instructions in an eager attempt to be one more step closer to having flawless nails as long as you follow the instructions. Which are easy as 1,2,3 (I promise! If I can do it, anybody can). The product states that you can wear the nails for up to a week. I've had them on for three days without a single problem or threat of them falling off. They've survived through my everyday activities, washing, and screaming children (a.k.a. my sisters). That's got to say something, right? They come in an assortment of designs and cute patterns to choose from. The one pictured above is in the shade of "Kiss&Tell" which I completely adore. The shade of pastel pink and ombre effect are just so pretty. I'm in love~

What kind of nail fashion are you rocking?

School girl bag

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

I am completely head over heels in love with this bag~
I purchased it a few months ago and ever since then I've been dying to tell you folks about it for what feels like ages now. The vintage detailing, the old fashioned latch, and little straps&buttons that overlap the satchel are just a dream. So innocent&dainty. It truly does remind me of a young school girl skipping along to her first day of school. Even though it may seem on the small side it is actually quite roomy. Still large enough to hold your wallet, phone, and all your other knick knacks you may be towing along with you. Every time I hold this bag I feel like I walked right out of a fairy tale~

Kawaii Goodness~

Big Hair?! Review: L'Oreal Boost It High Lift Creation Spray

Friday, July 11, 2014

Big hair~ Must I say more? I must have it. I simply must. I need it. No matter the cost. . .even if I have to drag myself up the highest mountains and beg the hair spirits themselves to bestow me with my obsession with volumized hair. Or stating it less dramatically. . .tease the very life out of my hair or what life is left until I reach a result I begrudgingly can accept (result pictured above~)

But if there is a hair product that can force me to put my beloved teasing comb down I will welcome it into my life with open arms. Come on ladies(guys?) our hair deserves a break!

So as I am pretty sure all of us have chased down our local drug or beauty store aisles hunting down for this little hair miracle. I am even more positive we have squinted and scrutinized the array of hairsprays, shampoos, serums, and mermaid tears that promise to give us fuller, volumized, more luxurious locks. And I myself have bought one of these products to the table: L'Oreal's Boost It High Lift Creation Spray.

So I decided to put this product to the test. And what better way to test it on a full busy day of classes and Florida's oh so very humid weather.

The Cons:
-The durability
I unfortunately realized too quickly for my liking that my hair might have looked great leaving out the door, but a few hours later my hair fell flat and needed some touch ups. So be aware that this doesn't have long wearability or "maximum hold" like the product states.

-You can spray only a small amount
This can be a pro and a con. If you spray too much product your hair can get "crunchy" (I'm not too sure how to describe the texture) and you will not get the volume you desire. It is a hair spray so keep that in mind! But on the plus side you need very little of the product to get that "big" hair effect you desire. You get a lot of product for your buck. Can't complain there!

-The smell
It does NOT smell bad and this can solely be because of my preference, but I personally found it too of an overpowering sweet scent. But once again that is my opinion and you could think otherwise!

The Pros:

-Instant boost
Immediately after spraying this product into my hair there was an evident lift of my roots as if I teased my hair. I was pleasantly surprised that my hair looked thicker and fuller just like the product promised.

-Quick Fix
If you're anything like me and sometimes you just don't have thirty minutes to spare on the beast bed head this could be your solution. A little spritz of this stuff and you're ready to head out of the door. No more bad hair days~

-Heat Protection
Not only is this a hair spray and a hair boost to lifeless flat hair, but provides heat protection as well. All wrapped up into one lovely little bottle.

Now finally the grand finale. Drum roll please~
Here are the results! No teasing. No backcombing. No magical rituals. Just this hairspray and a regular ol' hairbrush. I simply "styled" (by styled I mean parted my hair while I run out the door late to chemistry lecture once again. . .oops) my hair and sprayed a little of this baby and wa-lah~. An instant boost~

Well I think I've babbled on enough. I really hope you enjoyed this review as it was my first time writing one. What are some of your favorite hair products? I always need suggestions. Together let's fight off those wretched bad hair days. . .Hoo-rah?
